Version 2026-10-24-draft

Privacy Policy

What ARSC stores, who can see it, and how it is deleted.

Draft for the pilot, pending legal review. It is not yet in effect for real members.

What we collect

Account: your email address and a password hash, your callsign and its history, the policy versions you accepted and when, your age attestation, and an optional display name.

Activity, as features arrive: contacts you log or import, on-air declarations, mission progress, and awards.

Callsign lookups: when you look up a station, ARSC keeps that station’s public license details (first name, state, grid square, and license class) for 30 days, so busy stations are not looked up again on every request. No surname, address, or coordinates are kept.

Error reports: when the site fails in your browser it sends a report with the error, the page address without its query string, and your browser type. Email addresses and tokens are removed before it is sent, and it carries no account identifier.

Who sees it

Your email address is never shown to other members. Visitors who are not signed in see only delayed, grid-level counts of on-air activity, never callsigns.

Moderators can see callsign claims and review requests, including the email address of a member who asks for a review, so they can reply. They use it only to resolve the dispute.

We use service providers to run ARSC: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting), Resend (email), and Sentry (error reports). We do not sell your data or show advertising.

Age

ARSC is for people 13 and older, and you confirm your age when you join. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has an ARSC account, or if you are under 13, contact us at the contact address listed on hamradiocorps.org (to be added before launch). We will delete the account and its data without waiting for the usual 30 days.

Keeping and deleting

When you close your account, activity stops immediately. After 30 days we delete your profile, callsign claims, contacts, mission history, awards, and any connected QRZ credentials.

We keep an audit log of account and moderation actions for one year, identified only by an internal number, and counts that identify no one.

Your choices

You can view and change your account details, close your account, and ask for a copy of your data. Questions or requests: the contact address listed on hamradiocorps.org (to be added before launch).
